It's going great

Quick update:

Doing great with the CLX workout - I am currently in the Burn phase, riding my bike to work and will start swimming laps in the early mornings twice a week ... since the pool is closing 7:00pm and I am working till then :-(

I really need to start writing a food log since through out the day sometimes I do not remember what I ate. I know I eat healthy but it all comes down to the calories input vs. output. Also doing great with the water input since I try to drink somewhere around 1.2 Gallons of water a day - a little help with that I get from the WaterLogged App for the iPhone :-)

Other than that I am really busy with work (about 11-12 hours a day) but still find ways to do something good for me :-)

Have a great day

Another way to workout ...

This past weekend my husband and me went backpacking to the Guadalupe Mountains National Park - we wanted to hike the highest point of Texas the "Guadalupe Peak" (with an elevation of 8,751 feet).

This picture below was taken in at the beginning of this year. I did not know that behind me was the highest peak in Texas I was more amazed by the white sand :-)

The trail was a really hard one for me and I had to rest the first third of the hike a lot in order to get my heart rate down - after I while I got used to it and I did enjoy the amazing view of this trail and mountains.

As my husband and me reached the top of the peak - we did enjoy this beautiful view and got to sign a Record Book as well. I was so happy and proud of myself to make it up all the way on top in 3 hours and 45 minutes.

On the way up my husband carried the main backpack and after spending a night up in the mountains it was my turn to carry the backpack down ... and I can tell going down was not easy at all since most of the trail is very steep.

I am so happy to accomplish such a great hike with my husband (who has done this hike 3 times in his life). We are planning on doing more and more backpacking hiking trips in the future with more great opportunity to get in shape while enjoying this beautiful nature.

I hope everyone had a great Easter Weekend and is off to a great new week.

Progress in sight

I have been riding my bike now 4 days a week (usually Monday - Thursday) and I must say it is so much fun and i am getting faster (which depends very much on the desert wind here ...) and it is so peaceful to see the sun rise in the mornings and knowing I did something great already. It also feels like I had already 5 coffees when I ride my bike to work. As soon as I get to work I drink my Shakeology shake at 7:30am and around 2.5 hours later my 2nd Breakfast :-)

Last night I went to the ER because I thought I had StrepThroat and I felt so horrible - well at the end it was "just" an bacterial infection inclusive a "major" sinus issue and wired body aching :-( .... but I am on the way to recovery.
The main thing which struck me last night is that I had to give them my weight and of course I did not know... I avoid the scale for many reasons BUT even with clothes the scale told me that I have lost 2 pounds.

I have a strong desire to start BBL now for real in the mornings - which means on a "Bike-Day" i would have to wake up at 5:00am - but I really need to work on those legs and butt. Wish me luck and I hope tomorrow morning even if I am still sick I can get up early and workout :-)

Workout solution while on my way to work ...

Melancholy is incompatible with bicycling.
~James E. Starrs

Since I do not have one hour during the day to do this workout and I am way to exhausted/ tired in the evening I found something which is fun (maybe a bit dangerous due to high traffic and the fact that El Paso is not a bike friendly city) and hopefully successful with some small results:

I will ride my bike to work

I rode this way on a Sunday and it took me there like 35 minutes (bad wind coming from the front) but on the way back in only 24 minutes. And even google map tells me this is a 24 minutes ride or (I like this statement) I should drive/ or get a Taxi for 11 minutes.

This is "only" a very flat 4.5 mile ride but enough to get a 30 minutes workout in the morning and evening with the "plus" of thats not as hot in the morning than in the evening - which means I wont come to work all sweaty and just ready to work. I am also going to wear my heart rate monitor to see how I am doing and of course to see how many calories I am burning...

I hope at some point to add BBL maybe after the ride back home (I should get use to this ride pretty quick) - and use my rest energy for a 30 minute workout.

Thanks for stopping by and read along - have a great week!

Sleep Deprived??

Over a week ago was the last time I posted a post ...

I have to admit that I am not able to do the workout. Now I am not trying to find excuses or some kind of explanation - except that I am a Full Time Nanny for like 11-12 hours a day and that now for 4 kids (since on March 11 of this year little Ellie was born) ...
I am not having a fix lunch break nor do I leave their house during the week except for like 2 hours to run errands.
As soon as I am coming home I check my email and take a quick shower and then get cosy to read a book and not even 2 hours later I am off to sleep (no later than 10:00pm). Aww and then in the morning I wake up early (I guess to snooze and watch the news since I am not able to follow what going on in the world during work hours) ...

So that pretty much summarized it - BUT I am replacing once a day a meal with the Shakeology Shake and I guess that Vitamin Input give me a new kind of sense ...

I am still very encouraged to start a committed workout at some point but whoever is a Mom out there kind of knows what I am talking about.

When things settle down at work and I can commit myself during my off-time to do my workout in their basement ... Till then I'll keep ya'll posted like once a week.

Do not give up on me!!

G'nite

BUM BUM ....

"Every time you lift do a little squeeze in the butt"

I love Leandro's accent and the way he is saying this sentence. I did do my "Bum Bum" workout after work today - and it did not feel as late as when I did it last week - and I guess this has to do with the "Spring Forward" time change. I love the fact coming home from work and it is still light outside - that does not make me feel tired and "I am ready for bed" and actually I am thinking of doing it always after work - but that does not mean I am not working out in the morning.

The morning I will play by ear and will either go for the "Secret Weapon" or the 30min/50min Shakeology workout ...

Some may think that working out your bum bum is nothing compare to the hard workouts at the gym - hahaha think again. Wow I am still sweating and being out of breath doing the whole 30 minutes. At the very beginning (last week) I thought "Thats going to be an easy workout for in between" - No Way! You sweat so much and I bet I will feel it tomorrow morning from doing all these squats, lunges and leaps and the "Shake your booty" .... Love it!

Next time I'll use my heart rate monitor and see how much calories I burned and of course how my heart is doing ....

I am also doing great with the diet and Shakeology - I am not even longing for any candy or chocolate (since my Shakology is so much rich in chocolate taste) ... The weather right now (83-86F this week) makes it easy to keep up with the input of water. I am drink easily about 4 liters during the day - my little trick is to add a little fresh squeezed lemon since water itself is not much tasty.

Thanks for stopping by - leave a comment if you want to encourage me :-)

Sample Week ... I guess so

Hey -

First of all I have to tell that I have given up Facebook for Lent - that pretty much means the only update about my workout is this blog ... and I am so bad in doing so - please forgive me.

I am drinking my Shakeology every day and my most favorite recipe is the one with frozen (organic) raspberries - yummy.

This week has been slow on doing workout - I would call it more a try-out-week. Waking up at 5:30 am and taking a shower first otherwise I am not able to do anything - doing the Shakelogy 30 minute workout (which comes with the first order of Shakeology if you order Home-Direct), and then another shower and getting ready to go to work.
So pretty much from 7:30am-6:30pm I am busy working as a Full-Time-Nanny for 3 kiddos (another is expected any day from now). Coming home from such a long day - there is my temptation just to put my feet up and read a book or watch my favorite TV show HGTV - so this week I did a Monday and Wednesday Brazil Butt Lift Workout and oh yeah you can feel it and I am really promising myself to do that every evening starting next week.

I also did change my diet this week. Eating according to Leandro's Fat Burning Meal Plan I have eaten very delicious meals. The advantage I have at work is that I am able to eat very healthy - like only organic and non processed food, also sugar and gluten free ... that's a great experience and knowing I only put "super healthy" food into my body makes me feel "clean" and "energetic" ...

I will use this week for more of the "Try-Out-Workout" time and commit myself to a 100% BBL starting next Monday - I need to and I want to so bad ... I need all the support I can get and any ideas how to use that last bit of energy I have left after a 11-12 hour day at work (I bet the best advice would be doing BBL in the morning...)

Thanks for stopping by and whoever does any kind of workout - DO not give up!!

"Before" and "Numbers"

So this one was a hard one. Not many people put their before pictures up somewhere (FB, Blog etc...) if they do not see results first.
My friend Jen took my before pictures today - which I am feeling so blessed with. I am thinking in 14 days or 30 days we will re-take the pictures and measurements and see if I have accomplished something...

As I was writing in the post below - I am a "Too Big" kind of butt and I am so ready to get back in shape.

My "Bum Bum" - 03/04/11

Right Tight: 25 inch
Left Tight: 25.2 inch

Right Arm: 12 inch
Left Arm: 12.5 inch

Waist: 31 inch

Hips: 44.5 inch

Chest: 36 inch

Weight: 174.4 pounds

And thats the whole me

... hopefully looking better in 30 days. And here are my "Numbers":

I am de-toxing my body this weekend with Shakeology (for 3 days) - which means I wont start till Monday 7th with the Brazil Butt Lift workout - since all I am taking to me is water, 3 times Shakeology and two servings of fruits a day and some Green tea ...

Good luck

All butts are not the same ...

So why would you want to do the same fitness program? Whether your but is round, flat, wide, too big, or too small, Brazil Butt Lift sculpts every posterior to perfection. With Brazil Butt Lift, you can customize your workout program to your unique butt type. We have identifies the most comman shapes to create your "Booty Blueprint". Find your "butt type" here and then start on your customized program.

  1. Pear Shape
The Problem: You're Curvy, which is a good thing, but a little too big below the hips and a little out of proportion. Larger hips and stubborn saddlebags that stick out to the side give you a wide-angle silhouette.
The Solution: Try the SLIM & SHAPE program, which delivers the optimal combination of cardio and toning work. Leandro's signature Brazilian dance moves will slim your bulges, while his toning workouts will shape the muscle underneath so your butt rounds out behind you, not the sides.
  2. Too Flat or Square
The Problem: The Flat Fanny lacks shape and volume. This butt needs some pow! Your straight shape extends from waist to the tights, with no curves in between.
The Solution: Simply follwo the LIFT & SHAPE Calendar. This booty-beautifying prescription will help you shape and tone all the butt muscles for "volumizing" results. Just follow the plan for 30 days, amnd watch your backside get rounder and firmer!
  3. Too Big
The Problem: The Bulging Behind, while round and full, is too heavy and busts out in the wrong places. Usually flabby and dimply, this butt type is a little too much of a good thing.
The Solution: You already have the volume; you just want to slim down and get a bitter shape. Follow SLIM & LIFT plan to burnt he fat and len out the bulges. You'll shape your butt in all the right places.
  4. Combination
The Problem: Can't figure out which type of booty you have? Or maybe you just have a little bit of each tush type? All you need is to remove part of the fat and get some shapely tones muscle to add "oomph" to your backside.
The Solution: Follow the CLASSIC program for ultimate booty-beautifying results. You'll work everything in balance to create a bootylicious butt!

(Text and picture are from Leandro Carvalho's Brazil Butt Lift Booty Makeover Guide)

Well, I do have to admit I am more the "Too Big" kind of person - maybe if I would have worked out regulary I could be a "Pear Shape" ... But even that has a solution. So I am looking forward to do the SLIM & SHAPE program.

The workout also comes with a pencil - yes, thats right - with a pensil. Now some of you may wonder why. Well - there is something called "The Pencil Test". It is supposed to be a fun, easy and simple way to tell if your butt is lifted. Ha ha - and of course I did NOT pass the pencil test -this I guess is the fun part while standing backwards infront of the mirrow to place the pencil in the crease where your butt meets the top of the back of your tight is the "easy" part. And then do the test again after 30 days to see if your butt has lifted.

Only two more days and I "kick butt" ...
